First, click on Settings. Then click on Theme. Next, switch the toggle on / off to enable or disable the ToC for your posts.
Click on "Update" to save your changes
Based on your selection, the ToC will be globally switched on / off. You can then individually toggle the ToC to on / off for individual posts in the Post Settings > Advanced area.
