Team member roles & permissions in Typeflo

Typeflo has 4 user roles with different permissions, they are as follows -

  1. Master admin

  2. Admin

  3. Editor

  4. Author

We also have a "Guest Author" feature where you can assign a post to an author who is not a team member on your website. Guest Authors do not have the ability to login to your account.

Team member permissions

Lets understand the permissions different users have on your Typeflo account

Master Admin

This role is assigned to the email with which the Typeflo account was created.

Master admins have access to all features in Typeflo. They can add users, websites, workspaces, manage billing and view the dashboards of all websites added to their account.

Admin

Admins are website specific. They have access to all features the master admin has for the website(s) to which they are assigned as admins (except account level settings like adding team members, workspaces, websites and billing)

Editor

Editors are website specific. They can do the following -

  • Add posts / Edit posts

  • Edit others posts

  • Add categories / edit categories

  • Add guest authors / Edit guest authors

  • Add tags / edit tags

  • Add pages / edit pages

  • Add CTAs / Edit CTAs

Editors do not have access to the following

  • Settings

  • Subscribers

  • Navigation

  • Billing

  • Analytics

  • Workspaces

  • Creating new websites

  • Teams

Author

Authors have limited access to your dashboard. Authors can do the following -

  • Create new posts

  • Edit their own posts

  • Assign posts to existing categories

  • Assign posts to existing tags
